I’ve added the book Critique is Creative by Liz German and John Borstel. I’ve used this method in my teaching for about four years, and it is so liberating for both me and my students. Most importantly, I think it is one of the best approaches to supporting the creative and artistic endeavors of anyone at any age. I recently purchased the newest edition for a friend.

With Roe v. Wade now overturned, it seemed a good time to revisit Donna Haraway’s A Cyborg Manifesto. Added a post for Donna and for the writing.

Next, will make connections with M.C. Escher and the writings of Laura Marks.

Began profiles for MC Escher and Melanie Mitchell, beginning to articulate connections between the two in my teaching and Art/AI research.

Today I filled out the bios for Renée Green and Owkwui Enwezor. For Enwezor I decided to include the full New York Times obituary because of its comprehensive scope and because I don’t know how long it will be publicly available at the NYT link.

Today’s meeting with the Art + AI research group brought attention to the digital-to-analog process we are about to employ as we make film slides from GAN generated images. Today added the glossary item:

Added bio and two videos for LaToya Ruby Frazier that will be included in curriculum for Graphic Design this fall for an empathetic portrait assignment. This assignment also references the work of Andy Warhol.

Today I added content for the Sharon Grace entry and added five more artists and designers.
